A batch of under-construction road and bridge projects have pressed the “fast-forward” button; key projects across the city have set off a new upsurge in resuming construction

　　The whole year's work depends on a good start in spring. On February 24, it was learned from the Hefei construction department that, around citizens, high-profile under-construction road and bridge projects such as Guangde Road and Xiyou Road have taken advantage of the fine weather to press the fast-forward button, setting off a new upsurge in resuming work and production for major construction, and striving to complete as soon as possible to return roads to the public.

　　Guangde Road is about to welcome; the “incremental launching” of the bridge across the Nanfei River

　　In the eastern urban area, the Guangde Road project has fully resumed work on February 21. Currently, all management personnel are on duty, and 150 workers have arrived. The project is being advanced in sections, and this project is of great significance for improving the municipal facilities of the eastern new center.
　　Among them, Guangde Road (Changjiang East Road-Xiangshui Road) starts from Changjiang East Road in the north and ends at Xiangshui Road in the south, with a total length of 532.48 meters; the Guangde Road (Leshui Road-Heping Road) section starts from Leshui Road in the north and ends at Heping Road in the south, with a total length of about 870 meters (including 200 meters of reconstruction north of the existing Leshui Road); the Guangde Road (Yuxi Road-Chaohu South Road) section starts from Yuxi Road in the north and ends at Chaohu South Road in the south, with a total length of about 2,200 meters.
　　At the same time, Guangde Road will build a new bridge across the Nanfei River. The under-construction bridge across the Nanfei River has a total length of 661 meters and adopts an asymmetric thrust-free steel arch bridge, which is relatively large in scale among similar bridges in China. After completion, it can efficiently connect the two sides of the river and provide a new channel for travel between Baohe District and Yaohai District.
　　At present, the Guangde Road (Changjiang East Road-Xiangshui Road) section has been completed except for the intersection of Changjiang East Road and Xiangshui Road; the Guangde Road (Leshui Road-Heping Road) section is undergoing final construction, and the intersection of Guangde Road and Leshui Road has been completed and opened to traffic; the Guangde Road (Yuxi Road-Chaohu South Road) section is undergoing the assembly and welding of the bridge incremental launching brackets, and the incremental launching of the main bridge of the section across the Nanfei River is planned for February 28, 2021.

　　After the festival, with the increase of returning migrant workers, the major construction sites in the southwestern cluster of Hefei have resumed their busy scenes. The Fanhua Avenue (Zipeng Mountain Forest Park-Jiangjunling Road) project is being accelerated. This section is an old road reconstruction project, with a total length of 7,300 meters and a width of 55 meters, designed as two-way eight lanes.
　　Before the Spring Festival, the project had completed the rainwater and sewage construction for the entire section. It has now fully resumed work, with about 120 management personnel on site, and more than 40 large and small construction machines such as excavators and lime-soil mixers have been deployed. They are busy relocating optical cables and gas pipelines.
　　The contract period of the project is 540 days, and it is planned to be completed by the end of 2021. “In order to reduce the traffic pressure caused by half-width closure and half-width traffic as soon as possible, we have further optimized the construction organization and worked overtime to catch up with the schedule while ensuring safety. We strive to complete the main road surface and open it to traffic two months ahead of schedule, before this year's National Day.” introduced Fu Guobiao, project manager of the Feixi County Key Project Construction Management Center.

　　In the main urban area of Hefei, 11 municipal road and bridge projects including Xiyou Road (Shilian South Road-Wenqu Road), Tianjin Road (Huayuan Avenue-Jinxiu Avenue), Tongling North Road underpassing the Hefei East Marshalling Station, Shenzhen Road (Huizhou Avenue-Huanhu North Road), and the three major bridges of the Yangtze-to-Huaihe River Water Diversion Project (Hefei section) have fully resumed work.
　　In addition, this year the road network construction in Feixi will be further densified, with plans to complete the construction of 25 municipal roads. With the full rollout of resuming work and production after the festival, among the municipal roads continued this year, more than 20 road projects including Chunhui Road (Tanchong Road-Shenzhen Road), Feicui Road (Leping Road-Innovation Avenue), and Jixian Road (Jianghuai Avenue-G206 Section II) are being carried out one after another. The main roadbed of these road projects was basically formed before the festival, and they are planned to be completed and opened to traffic successively within the year.
