On February 22, Miluo City held a special meeting to coordinate and advance the construction of the Miyang Highway project. The meeting emphasized the need to further enhance political awareness, strengthen cooperation and coordination, and reinforce dedication and responsibility to ensure the Miyang Highway opens to traffic on schedule and with quality.

　　Since the establishment of the project construction headquarters, the Miyang Highway project has set multiple "Miluo speeds" in land acquisition and demolition, procedure processing, and engineering construction. Since full-scale construction officially began in August 2020, more than 60% of the total workload has been completed, exceeding the previous year's work targets. The meeting fully affirmed the previous year's work on the Miyang Highway project and deployed the 2021 construction plan. According to the plan, the remaining workload of the project is subdivided into 28 stages, and each stage will be accelerated strictly according to its time node.

　　The meeting pointed out that the Miyang Highway is the "No. 1 Project" for Miluo's integration with Changsha and the "main corridor" for the coordinated development of Changsha and Yueyang. Going forward, efforts must focus on the goal to advance the project, seize favorable weather, reverse-schedule the construction period, force progress, and conduct operations with wall charts to go all out in accelerating the project construction progress; coordination must be strengthened to advance the project, with all departments, units, and townships clarifying responsibilities, defining tasks, and refining measures to create the optimal construction environment; factor guarantees must be strengthened, project quality firmly upheld, and the safety bottom line safeguarded to ensure the goal of opening the entire main road surface to traffic before July 1, as a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
