In February, key transportation projects in Liyang City successively sounded the rallying call for the final sprint. In recent days, continuing key transportation projects such as the Jiaoweiqin Tunnel and the Tianmuhu Pumped Storage Power Station Bridge have fully kicked off resumption of construction, running at full speed toward established goals to achieve "acceleration" in the Year of the Ox.

　　Recently, at the construction site of the Jiaoweiqin Tourism Complex Tunnel Project in Liyang City undertaken by CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., construction workers were carrying out tunnel drilling operations.

　　According to Zhang Zhiyong, the on-site project manager, the project route starts at Jiaoweiqin Avenue, bypasses the west side of Shangtian Chijie Village, continues north through a tunnel crossing the existing Xisheng Mountain, and ends at the planned Danjinli Expressway, with a total road length of 1.70 km. Among them, the Jiaoweiqin Tunnel is a small-clearance tunnel, with a left tube length of 630 m and a right tube length of 625 m; it is a large-section medium tunnel with a maximum burial depth of about 62 m.

　　As the first tunnel in Liyang, the Jiaoweiqin Tunnel has attracted much attention since its inception. Due to the tight schedule and heavy tasks, the contractor actively responded to the government's call to "celebrate the Spring Festival in place," retaining workers to spend the holiday in Liyang by providing point-to-point chartered transport services and subsidies.

　　"During the Spring Festival, we rested for only three days before resuming construction, racing against time to make progress. At present, the guide wall pipe roof construction and tunnel portal excavation at the tunnel entrance have been completed, and the trolley and working platform are also ready. We will soon carry out secondary lining construction, advancing it in parallel with the open-cut tunnel excavation, and strive to meet the conditions for opening to traffic before National Day."

　　Meanwhile, at the site of the Tianmuhu Pumped Storage Power Station Bridge and connecting line project, construction workers and machinery were busy without pause...

　　"The Tianmuhu Pumped Storage Power Station Bridge and connecting line project is a key municipal project. Once completed, it will become an important component of the 'Liyang No. 1 Highway' around the Shahe Reservoir area."

　　According to Yang Qing, chief of the Comprehensive Section of the Rural Roads Office of the Municipal Transport Bureau, the project has a total length of about 4.02 km and adopts a two-way, two-lane standard. Among them, the Pumped Storage Power Station Bridge has a total length of 248 m, with the main bridge span arrangement of 80 m + 123 m + 45 m.

　　"It is worth mentioning that within the 123 m main span, we will set up glass viewing platforms on both sides of the bridge. In accordance with relevant superior requirements, we officially resumed work on the seventh day of the first lunar month and strive to complete construction before July 1."

　　Recently, it was learned from the Liyang Municipal Transport Department that this year the city's transport system, in line with the municipal Party committee and municipal government's goal of building a "Yangtze River Delta Ecological Innovation Demonstration City" and the work theme of "Ecological Quality Consolidation and Improvement Year," will deeply implement the development strategy of "focusing on Shanghai, reaching out to Beijing and Shenzhen, linking with six counties, integrating with Nanjing and connecting with Hangzhou," closely follow the two pilot programs of "provincial integrated urban-rural public transport and national reform of the rural highway management and maintenance system," firmly grasp project construction, enhance management capabilities, deepen regional cooperation, and comprehensively promote integrated urban-rural development, ensuring a good start and solid first steps for "14th Five-Year Plan" development.

　　During the Spring Festival, multiple key transportation projects in Liyang City did not stop work during the holiday, operating according to plans and seizing fine weather to advance project construction.

　　After the Spring Festival holiday, the Municipal Transport Bureau, in accordance with the principle of "grasping both normalized epidemic prevention and control and safe production with equal firmness," scientifically and orderly advanced project resumption.

　　While fully promoting the resumption of continuing key transportation projects, the Municipal Transport Bureau also quickly moved to launch new transportation projects such as the continuation of Provincial Highway 341, the widening of Yanshan South Road, and the municipal external corridor improvement project, ensuring the completion of the 2021 annual targets on time and with quality, and presenting outstanding achievements to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party.
