On February 8, 2021, the 4000-ton main hook of Hua Tian Long lifted the 3500kJ hydraulic impact hammer purchased by Guangzhou Salvage Bureau from CMI and drove the first monopile of the South China Sea wind farm to the design elevation. This marks another successful trial of the 3500kJ hydraulic pile hammer developed by China Machinery Forging Jiangsu Co., Ltd., a controlled subsidiary of Beijing Research Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Technology Co., Ltd., following the successful development of the 2500kJ double-acting hydraulic pile hammer, the first domestic unit of its kind, in 2019. Its hammering energy ranks alongside the German-made Menck 3500 as the world's highest, marking that domestic enterprises have acquired the R&D, design, manufacturing and mass-production capabilities for large double-acting hydraulic impact hammers used in offshore wind power large-diameter monopile driving, breaking the long-term monopoly of foreign companies in this field and truly achieving the localization and serialization of key major equipment in core areas.


　　The equipment has a nominal striking energy of 3500kJ, a hammer core weight of 175 tons, a driving shoe diameter of 6.65 meters and a driving ring diameter of 7.58 meters.
