On February 18, Weicheng District of Xianyang, Shaanxi held the February 2021 centralized groundbreaking ceremony for key projects, with three key projects breaking ground and a total investment of 1.31 billion yuan.

At 10:25 a.m., with the start order, 11 dump trucks, excavators and fog cannon trucks at the site began working at the “front” with a roar. The groundbreaking site was the shantytown renovation project in the northern section of Dongfeng Road. The project has a total investment of 1.24 billion yuan, with an investment of 200 million yuan within the year, covers an area of 97.6 mu, and will build housing, commercial facilities, supporting public buildings, underground garages, equipment rooms, etc.

It is reported that the projects invested this time also include the construction of new energy vehicle charging piles and the “separation of three supplies and one industry” transfer and renovation project in the residential area of Northwest No. 1 Cotton Industry Co., Ltd.

This year, Weicheng District plans to include 20 municipal-level key projects with a total investment of 9.16 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 2.36 billion yuan; it has arranged 41 district-level key projects with a total investment of 22.3 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 4.72 billion yuan. The construction and implementation of these projects will further enhance the image of the eastern urban area of Xianyang, improve urban infrastructure, improve citizens' living conditions, and inject new momentum into the high-quality economic and social development of the whole district.
