On the morning of January 30, both tunnels of the shield-driven section from Qifeng Road Station to Qili Station on Nanchang Metro Line 4, which passes under the Beijing-Kowloon Railway Bridge, were successfully completed, one month ahead of the scheduled construction period. The successful completion of this section marks another step closer to the goal of completing the entire Line 4, and also lays a solid foundation for the subsequent achievement of goals such as track connection, power supply, and initial operation.

This project is a comprehensive project involving two major specialties: reinforcement of an existing operating line bridge and shield tunneling construction. The project is located on Qingshan Road, a main road in the old city area. The construction involves the demolition of multiple buildings, the relocation and modification of a large number of pipelines, and multiple traffic diversions. The tunnels pass under multiple major risk sources, including the Yingxiong Bridge and the Qingshan Road Overpass of the Beijing-Kowloon Railway. The task goal is for the left and right shield tunnels to pass under the Beijing-Kowloon Railway Bridge before the Spring Festival travel rush. With a tight schedule, heavy tasks, and great difficulty, this was almost an "impossible task."

The project of the section from Qifeng Road Station to Qili Station on Nanchang Metro Line 4, which passes under the Beijing-Kowloon Railway Bridge, achieved ahead of schedule the "impossible task" of "the shield passing under the Beijing-Kowloon Railway Bridge before the Spring Festival travel rush and both tunnels of the section being completed before the Spring Festival." This outstanding achievement was made possible by the high-level promotion and strong coordination of the leaders, as well as the harmony, unity, and concerted efforts of all participating parties, which cleared the biggest "bottleneck" of Metro Line 4. Next, all project participants will continue their efforts and make new contributions to building a beautiful Nanchang and supporting rail transit construction.
