Recently, the Guizhou Weng'an–Machangping Railway, in which CCCC Road & Bridge Construction participated as an investor and builder, opened along its entire line, marking the official operation of China's first local resource-oriented railway on the national rail network to adopt the "PPP model + self-build self-operate" approach.
The Wengma Railway is an important resource-development railway in Guizhou Province's railway planning network and a key rail transport corridor for the Wengfu Phosphorus Chemical Base, one of China's three major phosphorus chemical bases. The entire line is built as a National Railway Class II single-track electrified railway running north–south, with five stations: Weng'an Station, Pingdingying Station, Niuchang Station, Fuquan East Station (deferred opening), and Machangping Station (junction station). It has a total length of about 73 kilometers and a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour. Once the second-phase north–south extension of the Wengma Railway is completed, the full line will reach 219 kilometers. CCCC Road & Bridge Construction undertook Section 3, whose main construction content includes 12 bridges and 10 tunnels, among which the Yinzhan Bridge and the Lujiazhai Tunnel are key and difficult control projects for the entire line.
The opening of the Wengma Railway greatly reduces transport costs for local phosphorus chemical enterprises, plays an important role in helping people in the Qiannan region escape poverty and become prosperous, and is of great significance for advancing the construction of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor.
