Recently, a consortium led by CCCC Urban Investment, comprising CCCC Road & Bridge Construction, the Fourth Highway Engineering Bureau, and the Second Harbor Engineering Bureau, was selected for the comprehensive development project of the Mengyang New City area in Pengzhou, Chengdu, with a project investment of 47.1 billion yuan and a cooperation period of 20 years.
The Mengyang New City project is an important vehicle for supporting the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and promoting the integrated development of Chengdu, Deyang, Meishan, and Ziyang. The project is located in the southeastern part of Pengzhou City, with a planned area of approximately 39 square kilometers, on the north extension of Tianfu Avenue, Chengdu's central axis. The project's cooperation scope includes overall development planning, investment and construction of infrastructure and public service facilities, urban operation and maintenance services, and industrial development services. The construction content includes municipal roads, landscaping, water landscape, and supporting public service facilities within the area.
Mengyang New City is being built in three phases: the start-up phase, the growth phase, and the enhancement phase. The concept of ecological priority and green development runs through all aspects of the new city's planning, construction, and management, achieving efficient start-up, high-standard advancement, and high-quality development. By 2035, Mengyang New City plans to complete a composite, comprehensive, three-dimensional transportation system and a modern public service system, form a modern industrial system with regional competitiveness and influence, and help Pengzhou City build a city that transcends eras, is green and livable, and is innovative and vibrant.
