On January 18, the Yunwu Bridge on the Duyun–Anshun Expressway, constructed by Guizhou Bridge Group, was successfully closed. The closure shortens the distance between Yunnan and Guizhou provinces and is of great significance for boosting economic and social development in the Yunnan-Guizhou-Guangxi rocky desertification area.

Located in Yunwu Town, Guiding County, Guizhou Province, the Yunwu Bridge has a total length of 1,720 meters. As a controlling project along the entire Duyun–Anshun Expressway—the largest investment project in the history of Guizhou highways—the Yunwu Bridge features main towers designed as folded H-shaped reinforced concrete structures, with designed structural heights of 273 meters and 300 meters respectively, currently ranking first in the world among folded "H"-shaped pylon heights.

Following the official closure of the main bridge, construction will proceed with the main bridge steel guardrails and ancillary works, with completion planned for the end of March this year. The closure of the Yunwu Bridge marks that the entire Duyun–Anshun line is now close to opening to traffic, with an initial estimate that it will officially open before the end of June this year.

It is reported that the Duyun–Anshun Expressway project has a total length of 276 kilometers and a total investment of 43 billion yuan, making it the largest investment project in the history of Guizhou highways to date. The project starts at Wangsiwuyang in Duyun City, passes through Guiding, Huishui, and Changshun counties, and connects with the Zhenning–Liuzhi Highway in Anshun City. It is the starting section of the Duyun–Shangri-La National Expressway and a component of the Guizhou provincial expressway network, occupying an important position in the national and regional road networks. Once completed, it will become another important transport corridor linking the three provinces of Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan.
