1月11日，渝昆高铁川渝段站前三标暨渝昆高铁（龙马潭区段）项目在泸州市龙马潭区鱼塘街道开工。渝昆高铁江阳区段已于日前开工，随着渝昆高铁龙马潭区段的开工，意味着渝昆高铁泸州段全线开工。
根据规划，新建渝昆高铁线路起于重庆西站，经重庆市江津区、永川区，四川省泸州市、宜宾市，贵州省毕节市，云南省昭通市、曲靖市，止于昆明南站，正线全长699公里，其中新建正线681公里，利用在建自贡至宜宾高速铁路18公里。
