稻城县桑堆至乡城县然乌公路改建工程线路全长101公里，其中国道549线长约69公里，省道460线长约32公里。无名山隧道为国道549线桑然路重点控制性工程，全长4409米，双向两车道，进口端海拔高程4200米，出口端海拔高程4396米。
据介绍，为保证高原隧道施工质量安全和参建人员生命健康，无名山隧道出口端建了集中供氧站，并在洞内提供流动吸氧车。按照计划，无名山隧道预计今年6月建成通车。届时，经无名山通行不再翻越海拔4700米的垭口，路程缩短15公里，省时近1小时。
