On January 3, the key control project of the Huangmaohai Cross-Sea Link—the main pier of the central tower of the Huangmaohai Bridge—successfully completed the construction and concrete pouring of its first pile foundation, reaching a depth of 107.3 meters, making it the "anchor" for the cross-sea project.

      To complete the pile foundation construction with high quality, the T5 contract section project department spared no expense in introducing the domestically advanced TR580 rotary drilling rig, with a maximum depth of 110 meters and a unit cost of over ten million yuan. Three rigs were deployed at each main pier, and a construction team with extensive experience in domestic cross-sea projects was hired for the operation.

       The steel reinforcement cage for each pile foundation of the main pier of the central tower of the Huangmaohai Bridge consumes 80 tons of steel.


       In response, the construction party built a steel reinforcement intelligent manufacturing center covering an area of over 20,000 square meters less than 10 kilometers away. With a factory-based digital production management system, it created an "intelligent" "assembly line," greatly reducing labor costs while strictly processing steel reinforcement according to design drawings and standards, ensuring the size and precision of steel products, and reducing production errors to almost zero.
