On July 14, a reporter learned from Yunnan Communications Investment Group that the left tube of the Husa Extra-Long Tunnel, the last key control project of the Tengchong-Longchuan Expressway in Yunnan, was successfully holed through on July 12, marking the full breakthrough of all tunnels along the expressway.

According to reports, the left tube of the Husa Extra-Long Tunnel has a total length of 5,369.96 meters and a maximum burial depth of 557 meters, while the right tube (holed through on June 11, 2020) has a total length of 5,339.46 meters and a maximum burial depth of 552 meters. As the longest tunnel along the entire Tengchong-Longchuan Expressway, the Husa Extra-Long Tunnel is an extra-long tunnel and the last key control main project of the expressway construction project.

Once completed, the Tengchong-Longchuan Expressway project will be of great strategic significance for advancing Yunnan Province's integration into the "Belt and Road" and the Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar Economic Corridor, and for accelerating its development into a hub radiating toward South and Southeast Asia.
