近日，经过水电五局长河坝施工局广大员工的不懈努力，国内第二大砾石土心墙堆石坝长河坝水电站心墙砾石土开始填筑，标志着长河坝水电站大坝工程进入全断面填筑。
长河坝水电站是大渡河水电基地“川电东送”的骨干电源，总装机容量260万千瓦，总库容10.75亿立方米。长河坝大坝集中超高心墙堆石坝、河床深厚覆盖层、高地震烈度、狭窄河谷四大难度于一体，目前世界上还没有同等规模的工程建成。长河坝水电站大坝为砾石土心墙堆石坝，最大坝高240米，坝顶长度502.85米，坝顶宽度16米，砾石土总填筑方量428万立方米。
