On July 26, a symposium on application technology of concrete mineral admixtures, jointly hosted by the China Concrete and Cement Products Association, Jiangsu Provincial Association of Building Steel Structure and Concrete, Jiangsu Civil Engineering Society, Jiangsu Silicate Society, and Concrete World Magazine, and organized by Beijing Zhongyu Tongxin Technology Development Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Bote New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., was successfully held in Nanjing, Jiangsu.

 

　　The meeting was chaired by Sun Qinxian, Secretary-General of the China Concrete and Cement Products Association. Gu Yanqing, President of the Jiangsu Provincial Association of Concrete and Steel Structure, attended the meeting and delivered a welcome speech. Experts and scholars including Lian Huizhen, Professor of Tsinghua University; Song Shaoming, Professor of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture; Liu Juanhong, Professor of University of Science and Technology Beijing; Chen Enyi, Ph.D. of Singapore's Anguog Enterprise; and Liu Jiaping, Researcher of Jiangsu Provincial Research Institute of Building Materials Science, delivered keynote reports. Nearly 200 representatives from concrete and related industry enterprises attended the symposium.

 

 

　　This conference held in-depth discussions on how to scientifically and effectively utilize concrete admixtures, extend the service life of structures, and resolve the contradiction between the demand of structural engineering for concrete and its raw materials and the shortage of resources. It provided assistance to concrete material technicians, concrete structure designers, constructors, quality inspection supervisors, and supervision personnel in correctly understanding and comprehending the application of concrete mineral admixtures, and helped achieve sustainable development of the industry.
