北京站至北京西站地铁隧道月底即将全线贯通
本月底，由中铁隧道集团历时八年修建的北京铁路局地下直径线北京站至北京西站盾构隧道将全线贯通。
该工程线路全长9151米，隧道总长7230米，是国内首条在城市采用大直径（12.04米）泥水盾构独头掘进距离最长（5.2公里）的地下双线电气化铁路隧道。自主研发的压缩空气条件下动火修复刀盘技术填补了国内空白。这条工期历时八年的铁路“地下线”，也打上了“北京最难地下工程”的标签。
此条线路沿前三门大街，由西向东分别穿越护城河、天宁寺桥群、前门箭楼等18个重大风险源，被北京市列为“风险最大的在建地下工程”。工程完工后，北京站至北京西站列车运行时间只需十几分钟,将大大缓解北京交通压力。
