The reporter recently learned from the construction contractor, China Railway Electrification Engineering Group First Company, that with the successful installation of the first traction transformer at Shiyuan Station on the southern extension of the Beijing Subway Batong Line, the installation of equipment for the comprehensive systems of the southern extension has been fully launched.
The traction transformer is the core equipment of the entire rail transit power supply system. A single unit weighs 8 tons, and strict requirements apply to tilt and vibration amplitude during transportation, as well as to installation standards. To ensure the safe transport and accurate installation of the first traction transformer for the Batong Line southern extension, construction personnel entered the site for surveys well in advance and formulated detailed plans for the transport and installation of large equipment as well as safety assurance measures.
The project construction manager introduced that the comprehensive systems project of the Batong Line southern extension includes six specialties: the power supply system, communications system, passenger information system, office automation system, electromechanical system, and guidance system. Starting in June, the installation and commissioning tasks for six specialties across two stations and three sections must be completed within three months, providing a solid foundation for opening and operation.
The southern extension of the Batong Line starts after Tuqiao Station, runs along Jiukeshu East Road, Zhangcai Road, the Sixth Ring Road, and Xiaotaihou Henan Street, and terminates at Universal Theme Park Station. The extension is about 4.5 kilometers long, including about 0.4 kilometers of at-grade line, about 0.3 kilometers of U-shaped槽 section, and about 3.8 kilometers of underground line; two new underground stations are built along the line, namely Shiyuan Station and Universal Theme Park Station. The line directly serves Beijing's sub-center and Universal Theme Park, further leveraging its role as a major east-west transportation artery, providing convenience for cultural tourism travel in Beijing, and achieving rapid guidance and evacuation of passenger flow.
