Technical preparations before hydraulic excavator operation
1) For the engine section, follow the relevant provisions of the general operating procedures.
2) A signal should be given before starting the engine or operating.
3) Check the hydraulic system for leaks; for wheeled excavators, check whether the tires are intact and whether the tire pressure meets specifications; check the transmission device, braking system, slewing mechanism, instruments, and gauges, and after a trial run, confirm they are normal before entering the working state.
4) Understand the construction task and site conditions in detail. Check the firmness and stability of the soil where the excavator is parked; wheeled excavators should be supported to keep them stable and reliable. Check the stability of cutting and trench slopes to prevent the excavator from overturning.
5) It is strictly prohibited for anyone to remain in the excavator working area. Unauthorized persons are prohibited from entering the cab.
6) The excavator working site should have roads for dump trucks to enter and exit.
Technical requirements during hydraulic excavator operation and travel
1) During excavator operation, no one is allowed to get on or off the excavator or pass items; do not perform maintenance while operating; do not arbitrarily adjust the engine (governor), hydraulic system, or electronic control system; pay attention to selecting and creating a reasonable working face, and digging by undermining is strictly prohibited.
2) When the excavator discharges material, it should wait until the dump truck has stopped steadily; when discharging, the bucket height should be lowered as much as possible without colliding with any part of the dump truck; the bucket is prohibited from passing over the dump truck cab.
3) It is prohibited to use the bucket to break solid objects; if large rocks or hard objects are encountered, they should be removed first before continuing work; it is prohibited to excavate rock above grade 5 that has not been blasted.
4) It is prohibited to arrange the excavator to operate simultaneously in two upper and lower excavation sections; when the excavator moves within the working face, the ground should first be leveled and obstacles in the passage cleared.
5) It is prohibited to lift the excavator by fully extending the bucket cylinder. When the bucket has not left the ground, the excavator must not travel sideways or slew.
6) It is prohibited to use the excavator boom to drag other objects laterally; hydraulic excavators must not excavate by impact methods.
7) When the excavator is slewing, the slewing handle must not be operated in the opposite direction.
8) The operator should always pay attention to the operating condition of the excavator; if any abnormality is found, stop immediately for inspection and promptly eliminate the fault.
9) During excavator operation and travel, frequently check whether the hydraulic oil temperature is normal.
10) When the excavator encounters power lines, crossings, or bridges and culverts during travel, understand the situation before passing, and assign a dedicated person to direct if necessary; the distance between the excavator and high-voltage power lines must not be less than 5 m; reverse travel should be avoided as much as possible.
11) When the excavator is traveling, its boom should be parallel to the travel mechanism, the slewing platform should be locked, and the bucket should be about 1 m above the ground. When traveling downhill, use a low gear; coasting in neutral is prohibited.
12) The excavator travel route should maintain sufficient distance from slopes, trenches, and foundation pits to ensure safety; when crossing soft ground, use a low gear at a constant speed, and use wooden planks, stones, etc. as bedding if necessary.
Technical work after hydraulic excavator operation
1) The excavator should be parked on flat, solid ground that does not obstruct traffic, with reverse gear engaged and the parking brake applied. If necessary, when parking on a slope, place wedges in front of and behind the travel mechanism.
2) Straighten the machine body, lower the bucket to the ground, place the working equipment control levers in the neutral position, and lock the cab doors before the operator leaves the excavator.
3) Perform routine maintenance on the excavator in accordance with the maintenance procedures.
