On the morning of January 30, two earth pressure balance tunnel boring machines (TBMs), independently developed by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group (CREG) for Singapore Metro C715 project, successfully rolled off the production line.

Singapore Branch; William Ong, Mechanical and Electrical Manager; Tan Shunhui, Party Secretary and Chairman of CREG, and other leaders attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Zhang Zhiguo, Deputy General Manager of CREG.

The two TBMs for Singapore C715 project are the 15th and 16th machines supplied by CREG for Singapore's metro construction, following the Thomson Line T209 project. CREG has always attached great importance to the design, manufacturing, and service of TBM equipment for Singapore metro projects. It has repeatedly sent personnel to Singapore for on-site geological surveys and technical exchanges, and has made targeted designs in multiple areas such as cutterhead type, main drive, grouting system, and control system, continuously safeguarding the smooth implementation and progress of Singapore metro projects.

It is reported that around this Spring Festival, CREG will successively export five TBMs to Singapore. The "China Railway 691 and 692" earth pressure balance TBMs rolled off the production line this time have an excavation diameter of 6.67m and a total length of about 100m, and will be used in Singapore C715 project. Singapore C715 project is an extension of the Singapore Metro Northeast Line and has attracted nationwide attention in Singapore. CREG has fully leveraged its advantages, improved equipment performance through targeted design, and organized scientific production, laying a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of the project.
