Xinyuan Expressway reconstruction and expansion section to be completed within the year

　　Accelerate preliminary work for Shitai Expressway reconstruction and expansion

　　At the Hebei Transportation Investment Group work conference held on January 31, it was learned that in 2019, Hebei Transportation Investment Group will invest in and construct expressways including the Beijing-Dezhou (Jingde) Expressway and the Rongwu New Line; in addition, the much-watched reconstruction and expansion project of the Xinyuan Expressway section from Guocun to Guajiaopu will be completed; and the remaining works of the Taihang Mountains Expressway, including toll stations and service areas not yet put into use, will be ensured to be fully operational before the end of August.

　　It is understood that in 2019, Hebei Transportation Investment Group will complete an investment of 30.4 billion yuan in expressway construction, including the follow-up works of the already completed and open Quyang-Huanghua Port Expressway Quyang to Suning section, and the Laiqu, Xifu Baoding, and Handan sections of the Taihang Mountains Expressway; construct the second phase of the Qian'an-Caofeidian Expressway, the Zunhua-Qinhuangdao section of the Beijing-Qinhuangdao Expressway, the Tianjin-Shijiazhuang Expressway, and the reconstruction and expansion project of the Xinyuan Expressway section from Guocun to Guajiaopu; and begin construction of the Rongwu Expressway New Line and the Beijing-Dezhou (Jingde) Expressway within the "four vertical and three horizontal" regional expressway network of the Xiong'an New Area.

　　Make every effort to advance the construction of expressways for the Xiong'an New Area and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei transportation integration. Strive to start construction of the Rongwu Expressway New Line and the Jingde Expressway in the first half of the year. In construction, focus on the requirements of "world vision, international standards, Chinese characteristics, and high-point positioning," carry out scientific and technological research, and create Xiong'an quality; strictly implement construction standardization and lean management, implement quality engineering evaluation standards, and achieve the transformation of engineering construction from high speed to high quality.

　　Accelerate the construction of the Tianjin-Shijiazhuang Expressway, the second phase of the Qian'an-Caofeidian Expressway, and the Zunhua-Qinhuangdao section of the Beijing-Qinhuangdao Expressway, and complete the section from the Yetao interchange of the Taihang Mountains Expressway in Handan to the Hebei-Henan border, as well as the reconstruction and expansion project of the Xinyuan Expressway section from Guocun to Guajiaopu.

　　Accelerate preliminary work for the reconstruction and expansion of projects such as the Shitai Expressway, the Coastal Expressway, and the section of the Baojin Expressway east of the Xiong'an New Area, and cooperate with the Xiong'an New Area to launch research on transforming the Xiong'an New Area section of the Baojin Expressway into an urban express trunk line at an appropriate time.

　　Comprehensively carry out the concluding work of completed and open projects such as the Taihang Mountains Expressway, accelerate the construction of remaining works such as connecting roads, toll stations, and service areas, and ensure that all are put into use before the end of August.

　　By 2020, the expressways managed by Hebei Transportation Investment Group will reach 2,400 kilometers, accounting for 30% of the province's total expressway mileage.
