It was learned from the recently held Henan Provincial Industry and Informatization Work Conference that in 2019 Henan will strive to create a new situation of high-quality development of industry and informatization, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size in the province will grow by about 7.0%, and energy consumption per unit of industrial added value will meet the binding targets.

Li Tao, Director of the Henan Provincial Department of Industry and Informatization, reviewed and summarized the work in 2018, stating that in the face of the complex and severe domestic and international economic situation, Henan worked with one heart and focused on eight key areas of work, promoting the province's industrial economy to continue maintaining an overall stable development trend; the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size in the province increased by 6.9% year-on-year, 0.6 percentage points higher than the national level, and total profits increased by 16%, 4.2 percentage points higher than the national level.

Li Tao emphasized that efforts should focus on eight areas of work: First, with intelligent manufacturing as the guide, continue to advance the "three major transformations." Promote 1,000 enterprises to implement standards and 10,000 enterprises to benchmark, focusing on building 300 intelligent production lines, 100 intelligent workshops, and 50 intelligent factories. Second, focus on key industries and accelerate the pace of transformation and upgrading. Equipment manufacturing: launch more than 10 industry landmark high-end equipment products with international advanced levels, and 100 provincial-level first-set major technical equipment products. Promote the demonstration application of industrial robots (CNC machine tools), build about 100 "machine substitution" demonstration projects, and demonstrate the application of more than 10,000 industrial robots (CNC machine tools). New materials: advance the construction of provincial-level innovation centers, accelerate the construction of bases for the aluminum industry, steel, electronic-grade new materials, chemical new materials, nylon new materials, and characteristic non-ferrous metal materials, and create a number of advantageous products in key areas. Electronic information: accelerate the cultivation of four hundred-billion-level industries including smart sensors, information security, new displays, and electronic materials, build several ten-billion-level electronic information industrial parks, and actively build a "1+4+N" industrial system. Do a good job in cultivating and creating industrial enterprise brands, and advance the demonstration construction of Zhengzhou and Luohe as national consumer goods "three products" strategic cities. Carry out national manufacturing single champion cultivation and improvement work, and certify a number of provincial-level industrial design centers. Fourth, accelerate the development of the digital economy and promote the construction of a strong province in the network economy. Build about 10 industrial internet platforms, strive to promote 10,000 industrial enterprises and drive 30,000 to 40,000 small and medium-sized enterprises to migrate to the cloud, cultivate and certify about 10 provincial-level manufacturing "dual innovation" platforms and bases, and cultivate about 50 provincial-level service-oriented manufacturing demonstration enterprises (projects, platforms). Fifth, strengthen opening-up and cooperation to cultivate industrial development advantages. Sixth, vigorously develop the private economy and stimulate the vitality of market entities. Comprehensively promote the development of the private economy, promote the establishment of a high-level provincial leading group for the development of the non-public economy and small and medium-sized enterprises, and further introduce several measures to support the development of the private economy. Improve the development level of small and medium-sized enterprises, organize precise docking between high-quality "specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative" small and medium-sized enterprises and service institutions, and screen and cultivate specialized "little giant" enterprises and "hidden champions" in segmented fields. Seventh, consolidate regulatory responsibilities and promote the safe and efficient development of the coal industry. Continue to carry out special rectification of coal mine disasters, special "consultations" for two types of coal mines, and special actions for safety "physical examinations" of six types of high-risk coal mines, deepen the creation of "five excellent" mines and safe and efficient mine construction, and continuously improve the production and supply capacity of clean briquettes.
