On January 22, Chaoyang District's first fixed construction waste disposal facility was completed in Gao'antun, Jinzhan Township. It has now entered the trial operation stage with material loading and can process 1 million tons of construction waste annually.

The Gao'antun Construction Waste Resource Utilization Fixed Terminal Project is located in the northwest of Beijing Chaoyang Circular Economy Industrial Park, covering a total area of about 270 mu. The project consists of a construction waste treatment system, an incineration slag treatment system, and a resource-based product production system. Through multi-stage processes such as crushing, screening, magnetic separation, manual sorting, air separation, and hydraulic flotation, construction waste is turned into valuable resources, with an annual processing capacity of up to 1 million tons. In addition, it will also resource-process slag generated from domestic waste incineration plants, with an annual disposal capacity of up to 230,000 tons.

The construction waste processed by the Gao'antun fixed production line can be used to produce recycled aggregates, inorganic mixtures for roads, recycled concrete, concrete blocks, permeable bricks, pavement bricks, etc., with a resource utilization rate of over 90%.

As the intensity of relocation and rectification continues to increase, more and more rental compounds, illegal apartments, and unauthorized structures are being demolished. However, the harmless treatment, reduction, and resource utilization of construction waste remain a challenge.

"The Chaoyang District Construction Waste Resource Utilization Center project is of great significance for enhancing the city's image, promoting the classified utilization of urban solid waste, and improving the construction of a solid waste resource recycling system," said a responsible person from the Management Center of Chaoyang Circular Economy Industrial Park. Next, Chaoyang District will further increase the promotion and use of recycled construction waste products, maximize the recycling of resources, and better serve the capital's development.

Previously, Chaoyang District had built 8 on-site resource utilization facilities, innovatively using a "temporary facilities + fixed facilities" construction waste resource utilization model to enable nearby and rapid processing of construction waste, with an annual processing capacity reaching the ten-million-ton level. With strong screening and disposal capabilities, it supports the relocation of non-capital functions and the city's "leave blank and increase green" initiative.
