南宁至玉林城际铁路（南宁经玉林至深圳高铁的重要组成部分）近日正式开工！
据了解，南宁至玉林（经横县）的城际高铁工程（时速350公里）今日（1月15日）破土动工，6月份全面开工，预计2021年底建成通车，横县不用20分钟即可到南宁，玉林到南宁40分钟。
据之前的新闻报道，广西北部湾经济区城际铁路建设规划（2019-2023年）同意近期规划建设南宁-横县-玉林、南宁-崇左两条总里程325公里的城际铁路，投资约517亿元。
南宁至玉林城际铁路建成后，玉林至南宁用时仅40分钟。该项目是南宁至深圳高速铁路通道的重要组成部分，将形成广昆通道、沿海通道之间的又一横向快速客运新通道，拉近广西北部湾、桂东南两大区域的时空距离，对加强北部湾城市群、粤港澳大湾区间联系，加快广西承接珠三角产业转移，实现珠江-西江经济带区域协同发展具有重要意义。
