As of August 30, the "60 Days of Hard Work, Full Effort to Ensure Milestones" labor competition at the Jiamusi Station Building Project has successfully concluded. Through the joint efforts of all project participants, various difficulties such as limited construction work space, numerous technical challenges, multiple specialized units, and extensive cross-operation were overcome. A total of 6,088 m² of dry-hung stone cladding, 2,610 m³ of main brick masonry, 4,800 m² of indoor aluminum strip ceiling panels, 5,656 m² of indoor granite paving, 4,800 m² of interior wall coating, 78 tons of roof truss installation, 2,830 m² of roofing works, 550 meters of basic platform railings, 1,138 m of drainage and rainwater pipe installation, 1,664 m of drainage ditches, and 6,777 m² of water and electricity installation were completed. Through the competition, fruitful results were achieved in the overall construction of the station building project.
During the labor competition, the project department was motivated by the implementation of the mid-2018 meeting spirit of the Group Company and the Second Company, focused on production and operation as the main body, used labor competition as a carrier, and took ensuring the core progress of the project as the focal point. They solved difficult problems in the construction process, seized the golden construction season, quickly set off a construction climax, and fulfilled the milestone schedule stipulated by the Harbin-Mudanjiang and Harbin-Jiamusi Companies.
To ensure the successful completion of the labor competition targets, the project department made reasonable plans and formulated corresponding measures. First, a mobilization meeting was held to publicize the purpose, significance, tasks, and objectives of the labor competition, review the previous construction, identify problems, and guide the effective implementation of the labor competition activities;
Second, the construction plan was optimized. Construction tasks were refined and quantified, construction plans were reasonably arranged, and construction plans, objectives, and important milestone projects were specifically divided into daily tasks to ensure the realization of labor competition goals; third, safety and quality awareness was strengthened. Strict control was exercised over project safety and quality to ensure they remained under control. Fourth, safety education was well conducted. According to the specific requirements of safety production at the construction site, training sessions were held focusing on high-altitude work techniques, temporary electricity knowledge at construction sites, and crane operation, ensuring no blind spots in safety education; fifth, resource allocation was improved. Work teams that had not completed construction tasks were required to increase resource allocation efforts to ensure the realization of planned objectives; sixth, a competition atmosphere was created. Through oath-taking mobilization, task assaults, hanging banners, and setting up Party member vanguard posts, morale was boosted, providing political guarantee for the labor competition.
During this labor competition, the project received 7 inspections and reviews from leaders at various levels, including national, provincial, and municipal authorities, the China Railway Corporation, Harbin Railway Bureau Group, Harbin-Mudanjiang and Harbin-Jiamusi Companies, and China Railway 23rd Bureau Group. During these inspections, the construction quality of the Jiamusi Station Building was highly praised multiple times.
The labor competition boosted the morale of all staff. In subsequent construction, the project will continue to strictly adhere to the red lines of safety and quality, strengthen process control, and use the final sprint stage before the full opening of the Harbin-Jiamusi line to conduct comprehensive quality reviews of all station building works, striving for excellence, building a premium project, and creating a brand project for China Railway 23rd Bureau Group.
