On the morning of August 28, the main bridge of the Yanzhi River Bridge, a key control project of the Xifu Baoding Section of the Taihang Mountains Expressway, was successfully closed. This closure marks a decisive step toward the goal of opening to traffic by the end of the year for the Xifu Baoding Section of the Taihang Mountains Expressway.

The Yanzhi River Bridge is located in the deep mountains of Fuping County and spans the Yanzhi River valley. Its main bridge is a (45+80+45) m corrugated steel web composite continuous box girder bridge, with a main pier height of 78 m. It is a typical "high-pier, long-span" bridge and is currently one of the taller corrugated steel web steel structure bridges in the province. The Yanzhi River Bridge is connected to the "Yanyaogou" Tunnel, the longest tunnel in the Xifu Baoding Section. With steep terrain, complex geology, great construction difficulty, and extremely high technical requirements, it is a key control project of the Xifu Baoding Section of the Taihang Mountains Expressway.
The Xifu Section of the Taihang Mountains Expressway is expected to open to traffic by the end of the year. After opening, it will become an important transportation hub connecting Xibaipo and Fuping County.
