On August 25, with the successful pouring of the final batch of concrete, the main structure of Zhucun Station was successfully capped, making it the first underground station in Phase III of Line 4 to have its main structure capped. The Line 4 project has achieved another breakthrough.
Phase III of Line 4 is one of Shenzhen's important livelihood projects. The project is entirely within Longhua District, and the line generally runs north-south. It starts from the northern end of Qinghu Station, the current terminus of the operating Line 4, and runs from south to north along Heping Road, Guanlan Avenue, and Golf Avenue. Along the route, there are eight stations in total: Qinghu North Station, Zhucun Station, Xikeng Station, Changhu Station, Guanlan Station, Songyuanxia Station, Mission Hills Station, and Niuhu Station. Among them, Qinghu North Station is an elevated station, while Guanlan Station is planned to interchange with the Longhua modern tram.

Zhucun Station, whose capping was achieved this time, is located at the T-junction of Guanlan Avenue and Zhucun Road. The station main body lies beneath the road surface of Guanlan Avenue and is arranged north-south along Guanlan Avenue. The station has a total length of 223 meters and a standard main body width of 20.2 meters. It is a two-level underground island station and is constructed using the semi-covered cut-and-cover method. Zhucun Station is located in the core area of Longhua. Both sides along the route are densely lined with residential areas, commercial development zones, office land, and industrial plants. Traffic is busy and foot traffic is heavy, making coordination for traffic diversion and utility relocation highly difficult and construction risk high.

Zhucun Station officially began construction in August 2016. The relevant construction units carried forward the spirit of craftsmanship and strove for excellence, gaining the understanding and support of property owners, communities, and residents along the route... and fully advanced the project construction process. They successfully completed the main structure construction task of Zhucun Station 20 days ahead of the original schedule, making it the first underground station in Phase III of Line 4 to have its main structure capped.
The successful capping of the main structure of Zhucun Station has laid a solid foundation for post-station works and ancillary works. At the same time, the station's civil construction will shift to the construction of station entrances and exits and ancillary structures. The road occupied for construction will gradually have its enclosures removed, restoring mainline road traffic on the Zhucun Station section of Guanlan Avenue and returning the road to the public.
