On the morning of August 10, a ray of morning sunlight pierced through thin clouds, illuminating the beautiful banks of Yunlong Lake. Fourteen youthful teams lined up neatly on the square, waiting for the command to start the "Uphold Heritage · Strive Youth" XCMG Group 2018 New Graduates Lakeside Training, showcasing youthful vitality and playing the symphony of endeavor. Jiang Lei, Assistant President of XCMG Machinery, Minister of Human Resources, and Minister of the Organization Department of the XCMG Group Party Committee; Yuan Guilan, Vice Chairman of the XCMG Group Labor Union; Gu Chong, Deputy Secretary of the XCMG Group Youth League Committee; party committee secretaries or deputy secretaries of various business divisions and subsidiaries; as well as instructors and counselors of each squadron, walked side by side with 650 new graduates dressed in smart camouflage uniforms. After the formation was completed, the flag presentation ceremony officially began. The XCMG flag was presented to the student flag bearer representative, symbolizing the inheritance of the red genes and the promotion of the XCMG spirit. The flag bearer waved the flag facing all the students and solemnly stated: We will not fail the heavy trust and embark on a new journey. With a command, the 7-kilometer lakeside walk officially began. The 14 teams, keeping pace with the music, marched with sonorous steps, striding forward toward the morning sun. This lakeside training for new graduates aims to enhance their sense of discipline and teamwork, temper their willpower and physical fitness, encourage everyone to fear no difficulties and dare to challenge, inherit the red genes of hard struggle, and gather the majestic youthful power for "reaching the summit of Mount Everest." During the march, the 14 teams were divided into two groups to display slogans and formations at two exhibition points. Each exhibition point was equipped with a decibel meter. Each team completed formations such as the "XCMG Logo," "United as One," and "Determined to Reach the Summit" within the designated area and time, and shouted their slogans, winning cheers from all judges, leading leaders, and surrounding crowds. Finally, based on evaluation dimensions such as the meaning of the slogans, loudness, proficiency, formation neatness, and formation creativity, the "Gold Team," "Silver Team," and "Bronze Team" were selected, greatly inspiring all the students. "To further improve the team awareness of new college students and promote XCMG's 'Four Haves' youth spirit, we organized this lakeside training activity. We hope all new college students can integrate into the XCMG family faster and better, and achieve new accomplishments in their new positions," said Lin Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Hoisting Machinery Business Division.
"In this lakeside training activity, our greatest feeling is that we have tempered our willpower and enhanced our sense of discipline and teamwork," the college students expressed one after another. We dare to ask how high the mountains are, but we do not forget our original aspiration; why fear the long journey, we keep our mission in mind.
Starting from this fiery August, every new colleague has been given a new life mark: "XCMG person." As XCMG youth, we will surely use our striving youth to help XCMG reach the summit of Mount Everest!
