At present, temperatures in southern Xinjiang are rising rapidly. At the construction site of the Urumqi-Yuli Highway PPP project, managers present are busy organizing documents, and workers are inspecting machinery and making preparations before construction starts. As a key project of the autonomous region, the Urumqi-Yuli Highway PPP project has a total route length of 1,308.6 kilometers and a total investment of about 70.8 billion yuan. It is currently the largest highway PPP project in China. After completion and opening to traffic, driving from Urumqi to Korla will be shortened from the current more than 6 hours to 3 hours; from Korla to Ruoqiang will be shortened from 7.5 hours to 3.5 hours; and from Korla to Qiemo will be shortened from 10 hours to 4 hours. The project is of great significance for improving the layout of Xinjiang's expressway network, improving transportation infrastructure conditions in areas along the route, and promoting connectivity between northern and southern Xinjiang. Song Liyan, manager of the project engineering management department: "Before February 25, the main management personnel and machinery had basically entered the site. The entire line is carrying out access road repairs, making construction preparations, machinery maintenance, and water, electricity, and road repairs. Materials were prepared before the New Year. In the 35th Regiment to Ruoqiang project, construction started on the 21st and 22nd of the sixth work section."

Zhao Ersheng, deputy director of the Engineering Management Office of the Autonomous Region Department of Transportation: "We used the winter to reserve road-building materials such as asphalt, steel bars, and crushed stone in advance. At present, the main management personnel of all projects have arrived at the construction sites. It is required that all projects in southern Xinjiang resume construction on March 1, and all projects in northern Xinjiang start construction on April 1."
General Secretary Xi Jinping attaches great importance to rural road construction and has made important instructions many times, requiring that rural roads be built, managed, maintained, and operated well. At present, various places in Xinjiang are accelerating the construction of "four-good rural roads" to lay the foundation for the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy. Jimsar County set a record high in rural road construction last year. This year, it will continue to advance the construction task of 100 kilometers of asphalt roads to villages. Zhu Wenwu, director of the Jimsar County Transportation Bureau: "The construction drawing design has all been completed. The funds will be in place soon, and then bidding and construction will begin. Through the construction of four-good rural roads, we will solve the travel difficulties of 90,000 farmers and herdsmen."
At the same time, a large number of railway and airport construction projects will start construction in Xinjiang this year. These include the expansion and reconstruction of Urumqi and Kashgar airports and the construction of new airports in Tashkurgan, Zhaosu, and Yutian, as well as continued projects such as the Korla-Golmud Railway and Urumqi urban rail transit. China Railway Tunnel Group is undertaking the construction task of the 13,195-meter Altun Mountain Tunnel, the longest tunnel on the entire Golmud-Korla Railway. After the Spring Festival, as management personnel and workers gradually return, construction has been fully launched.
