On the first working day after the holiday, more than 5,000 builders were hard at work across all Fuzhou Metro lines. This year is a “critical year” for Fuzhou's metro construction, and breakthrough plans for each line have been rolled out. At present, the section from Fuzhou South Railway Station to Anping Station on Line 1 (Phase II) has achieved twin-tube breakthrough. This year, the line will strive to complete the main structures of all four stations, achieve breakthrough in two sections and complete one cross-passage, finish 50% of station ancillary works, and carry out project department formation and related work for the electromechanical and vehicle projects.
Line 2 will sprint ahead this year, striving to complete the main structure construction of all stations by the end of April, complete ancillary structures and ventilation, water supply and power supply works for all stations within the year, and achieve tunnel breakthrough, track laying and power supply, making every effort to ensure the goals of trial operation before January 31, 2019 and trial commercial operation before May 1, 2019.
Line 6 has completed the main structure construction of Yingqian Station, Binhai New City Station and Linpu Station. Within the year, it plans to complete the main structure construction of most stations and achieve full shield tunneling across sections; the Zhanglan Parking Lot and Henggang Depot will fully enter main structure construction.
Line 5 (Phase I) and Line 4 (Phase I) will strive to complete demolition, land handover and land borrowing required for construction within the year, with all stations starting construction successively. For the Fuzhou–Changle Airport rail transit, construction of stations already started will be advanced.
