This year, Jiangxi plans to complete a transportation investment of 60 billion yuan, aiming for expressway mileage to exceed 6,300 kilometers by 2020. From 2020 to 2035, over a period of 15 years, Jiangxi will basically achieve the modernization of transportation construction. On January 18, reporters learned from the 2018 Provincial Transportation Work Conference that Jiangxi Province has mapped out a roadmap for building a strong transportation province, and a large number of key transportation projects will start or continue construction this year.

　　This year, Jiangxi plans to complete a transportation investment of 60 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 34%. Among them, 3 billion yuan for inland waterway transport, 10 billion yuan for expressways, 29 billion yuan for ordinary national and provincial roads, and 18 billion yuan for rural roads.

　　● Before the end of August, construction will start on the capacity expansion project of the Nankang-Longnan section of the Daqing-Guangzhou Expressway.

　　● Before the end of July, the entire Pinglian Expressway will start construction, with 20% of the total investment completed by the end of the year.

　　● Before the end of August, the Chang-Jiu reconstruction and expansion will basically achieve the first traffic conversion, and pavement construction will fully commence.

　　● Before the end of November, the main bridge of the Poyang Lake Second Bridge on the Dujiu Expressway will be closed, and pavement paving will be basically completed by the end of the year.

　　● Before the end of the year, over 40% of the surface layer of the Fuzhou East Outer Ring will be completed, and over 70% of the subgrade earthwork, culverts, and passages of the Yifeng Connecting Line will be completed.

　　By 2022: Expressway Mileage to Exceed 6,900 Kilometers

　　Wang Aihe, Party Secretary and Director of the Provincial Department of Transportation, introduced that the province will implement the "Jiangxi Province Expressway Network Planning Revision (2018-2035)", with mileage exceeding 6,300 kilometers by 2020 and exceeding 6,900 kilometers by 2022.

　　Promote the integrated development of urban and rural passenger transport, focus on solving the road access problems of administrative villages that do not have bus service conditions, achieve a 100% bus service rate for eligible administrative villages by 2020, and basically provide bus service to all administrative villages in the province by 2022.

　　2050: Comprehensive Modernization of Transportation

　　The Provincial Department of Transportation has set goals: from now to 2020, in 3 years, basically build a "safe, efficient, smooth, and green" transportation system, providing solid transportation support for the province to build a moderately prosperous society in all respects in sync with the whole country. From 2020 to 2035, in 15 years, basically achieve the modernization of Jiangxi's transportation construction.
