The Wenfu Line Crossing Grand Bridge adopts the swing construction technique of “build first, swing later.” By rotating 58 degrees counterclockwise, the completed T-shaped pier No. 22’s ends A and B are joined with piers No. 23 and No. 21 respectively.
In the early hours of the 12th, the construction site of the Wenfu Line Crossing Grand Bridge of the China Railway No. 5 Engineering Group’s Quzhou-Ningde Railway Section 5 project, located in Zhangwan Town, Jiaocheng District, Ningde City, was brightly lit. After more than two years of construction, the swing T-structure of pier No. 22 of the bridge safely crossed the operating line of the Wenzhou-Fuzhou Railway and successfully completed its swing.
At 23:18 on the 11th, after confirming that the catenary power supply on the Wenzhou-Fuzhou Railway operating line had been cut off, the swing construction began. The over 4,000-ton “T”-shaped pier slowly rotated counterclockwise under the push of two high-thrust jacks. At 1:00 a.m. on the 12th, the pier had rotated 58 degrees, and the two ends of the continuous beam T-structure precisely docked with the cast-in-place side-span sections of piers No. 21 and No. 23.
It is understood that the Wenfu Line Crossing Grand Bridge has a total length of 1,037.52 meters. It is the first bridge in Fujian Province to adopt the “build first, swing later” swing construction technique, and the only bridge on the entire Quzhou-Ningde Railway line that crosses both a highway and a railway line at the same time.
On-site commander Liu Dongshan introduced that the Ningde section of the Wenzhou-Fuzhou High-Speed Railway is a busy passenger railway line, with nearly 70 EMU trains passing through every day, making the crossing construction high in safety risk and difficult. The Quzhou-Ningde Railway’s crossing of the Wenzhou-Fuzhou High-Speed Railway operating line adopts the swing continuous beam construction technique, transforming construction on the operating line into construction adjacent to the operating line. This not only greatly reduces construction safety risks, but also can significantly shorten construction time and improve construction efficiency.
It is understood that the Fujian section of the Quzhou-Ningde Railway will complete offline engineering construction before September 1, 2018, and complete beam erection, track, and the four-electric systems (communication, signal, power supply, and electrification) before February 14, 2019.
