Recently, three more expressway projects in Fujian Province have started construction. Among them, the Ningde-Gutian Expressway and the advance section of the Ningde-Xiapu-Fu'an section held construction mobilization on December 29, 2017, and the Taqian Interchange Project of the Fuyin Expressway in Nanping City started construction on December 21, 2017.
In 2017, the province completed 32.7 billion yuan of expressway construction investment, exceeding the annual plan by 700 million yuan, up 10.47% year on year. Six projects (road sections) were completed, adding 209 kilometers of newly opened mileage; the Shaxian-Xiamen line of the National Expressway Network opened to traffic in full, the Shenhai duplicate line leading to the Guangdong provincial border was connected, the province's total expressway mileage reached 5,228 kilometers, and 11 new projects with a total mileage of 251 kilometers were started.
