This was learned by the reporter from the fourth session of the second Yanqing District People's Congress held on the 26th.
Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-Speed Railway Expected to Begin Trial Operation in June 2019
The Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-Speed Railway is an important facility for the integration of transportation in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and also a supporting project for the Winter Olympics. Within Yanqing, the main line is 20.13 kilometers and the branch line is 9.25 kilometers. Land acquisition and demolition involve 20 villages in 4 townships, with a land area of 932.91 mu within the red line. Villagers' representative assemblies have been held in all 20 administrative villages involved in land acquisition, land acquisition agreements have been signed, and land acquisition notices have been publicized.
According to the Yanqing District Transportation Bureau, as of now, the land acquisition and demolition work for the Yanqing section of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-Speed Railway has taken the lead in Beijing in completing the land delivery tasks for both the main and branch lines. The 20.13-kilometer main line of the Yanqing section has fully entered construction. The Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-Speed Railway will enter the joint debugging and testing stage in June 2019 and is expected to officially open by the end of 2019.
Xingyan and Yanchong Expressways Accelerate Construction
The Xingyan Expressway is an important transportation support facility for the 2019 International Horticultural Exhibition and the 2022 Winter Olympics. It is a newly planned major transportation artery to solve the traffic bottleneck problem in northwestern Beijing.
The Xingyan Expressway starts from Shuangheng Interchange of the Northwest Sixth Ring Road in the south and extends north to the north of Yingchengzi Interchange Toll Station of the Yanqing-Jingzang Expressway, with a total length of 42.2 kilometers, of which the main line within Yanqing is 11.1 kilometers. Since the project started construction, the Yanqing section of the Xingyan Expressway has been progressing smoothly and orderly. The Xingyan Expressway is expected to be completed and open to traffic by the end of 2018.
The Yanchong Expressway, which connects with the Xingyan Expressway, is a road in the 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition park and a liaison channel for the 2022 Winter Olympics venues. It will play an important transportation support role for the smooth holding of the Horticultural Exhibition and the Winter Olympics. At the same time, as one of the northwest high-speed channels for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integration, the Yanchong Expressway is also a rapid transportation artery connecting Beijing urban area, Yanqing New City, and Zhangbei area in Hebei. It is of great significance for relieving passenger and freight traffic pressure on the northwest channel and improving road capacity and driving safety.
According to reports, the Yanchong Expressway starts at the west side of Da Futuo Village in Yanqing District, connects with the Xingyan Expressway under construction, and ends at the city boundary where it connects with the Hebei section of the Yanchong Expressway. It has a total length of about 33.2 kilometers and a cross-section layout of two-way four lanes. The control point projects of the Yanchong Expressway, the Guishui River Tunnel and the Songshan Tunnel, started construction at the end of 2016. Land acquisition and demolition work was fully carried out at the end of March 2017. Currently, the land acquisition and demolition work is nearing completion, and all 9 contract sections of the project are under intense construction. The plain section is expected to be completed and open to traffic by the end of 2018, and the mountainous section by the end of 2019.
It is reported that after the three major projects of Xingyan, Yanchong, and Beijing-Zhangjiakou are completed and put into use, they will not only directly serve the Winter Olympics and the Horticultural Exhibition and meet the needs of events and activities, but also promote the integration of transportation in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and create a favorable transportation connection environment for the economic development of the region.
