On December 8, the progress inspection meeting for the 13th Five-Year National Key R&D Program project 'BIM-Based Prefabricated Building System Application Technology' was successfully held in Dongguan, Guangdong. More than 70 representatives from the lead implementing unit, China Academy of Building Research, and participating units attended the meeting. The meeting invited an expert panel comprising Yang Qingshan, Dean of the School of Civil Engineering at Chongqing University and project responsibility expert; Wu Yuehua, Chief Engineer of China Construction First Building (Group) Corporation; Wang Xiaofeng, Director of the Standards and Specifications Division of China Academy of Building Research; Jiang Qian, President of Dongguan Survey and Design Association; and Gu Mingwang, General Manager of Shenzhen Modern Construction Technology Co., Ltd., to inspect the project progress.
In the morning, the five research task groups within the project held separate discussions on research progress. The leaders of each sub-task reported in detail on research work, software development, and phased research results. Each task group held in-depth discussions on the development challenges, key technologies, and next-step R&D plans for the software system.
In the afternoon, the project progress inspection meeting was held. At the meeting, Zhang Jingyan, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department of China Academy of Building Research, first introduced the basic situation of the 'Green Building and Building Industrialization' key special project and the institute's project implementation management regulations. Subsequently, Project Leader Researcher Xu Jiefeng and the leaders of the five task groups reported respectively on the completion of project and task assessment indicators, implementation of research tasks, progress of demonstration projects, availability and expenditure of special funds and self-raised funds, and consolidation of results.
The attending experts unanimously agreed that the project team and all task groups, in accordance with the work plan, organized participating units to carry out survey and analysis, formulation of R&D plans, demonstration of R&D plans, development of platform systems and application software at various stages, demonstration of demonstration project implementation plans, technical exchanges, and promotion of results. The R&D work progressed smoothly, research progress and funding control were reasonable, and phased results were abundant. The inspection meeting successfully completed all agenda items.
After the meeting, the project management office deployed and arranged preparations for the project mid-term inspection and conducted the third technical exchange on project software development, making preparations for the mid-term acceptance of the project and tasks.
