On the morning of December 20, at the construction site west of the airport hub of the Luzetai Elevated Expressway in Luqiao, the 1500th pile foundation of the Luzetai Elevated Expressway project officially began drilling, marking the early completion of the project's '100-Day Battle' goals.
Since the official commencement of the Luzetai Elevated Expressway project on November 10 last year, relevant departments have worked together and advanced rapidly with remarkable results. On September 20 this year, the Municipal Transportation Investment Group launched the '100-Day Battle' campaign, setting the goal of 'fighting for 100 days and investing 900 million yuan.' During the campaign, the Municipal Transportation Investment Group, together with traffic police departments and government departments along the route, worked closely to overcome difficulties and completed traffic organization and fencing along the entire line, maintaining traffic accessibility to the greatest extent. This project is an important channel for coordinated development among three districts and two cities. Once completed, travel from Wenling to the main urban area of Taizhou will be nearly four times faster than before. Seeing the smooth progress of the elevated expressway, many citizens are overjoyed.
A nearby resident: 'When the road is convenient, there will be no traffic jams. It takes only 20 minutes to get to Wenling via the expressway. Of course, it's good to build the road. By then, it will be like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou—with large roundabouts, no traffic jams at all. How wonderful!'
The reporter learned that the official drilling of the 1500th pile foundation is not only the finale of the 100-Day Battle but also the starting point of a new stage and a new journey. Based on the results and experience of the '100-Day Battle,' the Municipal Transportation Investment Group proactively plans the 2018 construction goals to further consolidate the solid foundation for the early completion and opening of the Luzetai Elevated Expressway.
Ni Di, Manager of the First Engineering Construction Department of Taizhou Municipal Transportation Investment Group: 'The battle ends today. We have completed the entire pile foundation project 11 days ahead of schedule—driving the 1500th pile today. By the end of this month, our total investment will reach 1.45 billion yuan, exceeding the originally planned 1.3 billion yuan. Next is 2018. Our current goal is to invest at least 2 billion yuan in the entire Luzetai Elevated Expressway and complete 75% of the bridge. This is the plan and goal we have set for 2018.'
