President Wang Jun of the China Academy of Building Research delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the forum organizers. President Wang stated: Vigorously developing building industrialization is of great significance to promoting the upgrading of the construction industry. Using BIM technology to achieve refined and efficient information management throughout the entire process of prefabricated buildings will be an inevitable trend in the development of the construction industry. As the largest comprehensive research and development institution in the national construction industry, the China Academy of Building Research has always been committed to solving key technical problems in engineering construction, and has developed an independent PKPM-BIM platform and full-process application software that conform to the characteristics of China's construction industry, establishing a Chinese BIM ecosystem and achieving good application results. In the future, PKPM will also integrate new technologies such as cloud services, big data, the Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence, develop towards intelligence and ecology, provide overall solutions for smart buildings and smart cities, and provide scientific and technological leadership and technical support for the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry. President Wang pointed out that the focus of this forum is on the production phase of prefabricated buildings, with emphasis on discussing computer-aided processing technology and production management systems for prefabricated building components. He hoped that the guests would speak freely and contribute ideas and strength to promote the development of prefabricated buildings.
