On December 13, it was learned from the Autonomous Region Department of Transport that before the end of the year, three projects—Guanyang to Pingle, Long'an to Shuolong, and Hezhou to Bama (Mengshan to Xiangzhou section)—are expected to start construction; among projects under construction, three expressways—Ziyuan to Xing'an, Wuzhou to Liuzhou, and Mailing to Hezhou—will be completed and open to traffic before the end of the year.
On the same day, the Autonomous Region Department of Transport announced the completion of work in the first 11 months of this year. In terms of expressways, among the six expressway projects planned to start this year, three—Datang to Pubei, Rongshui to Hechi, and Guilin to Liucheng—have already started construction. The three projects of Guanyang to Pingle, Long'an to Shuolong, and Hezhou to Bama (Mengshan to Xiangzhou section) are currently carrying out preliminary work and are expected to start by the end of the year. Among the five expressway projects planned to be completed and open to traffic this year, the Guigang to Hepu Expressway and the Guilin to Sanjiang project have already been completed and opened. The Ziyuan (Meixi) to Xing'an project has completed handover acceptance, and the Wuzhou to Liuzhou and Mailing to Hezhou projects have completed more than 99% of total investment and are expected to be completed and open to traffic soon.
According to the plan, Guangxi has four foreign-related projects under the "Belt and Road" initiative, namely the Dongxing to Ha Long (Vietnam), China Pingxiang to Hanoi (Vietnam), and Jingxi via Longbang Port and Vietnam Cao Bang to Hanoi expressways, as well as the China-Vietnam Dongzhong to Hengmo Bridge project. It is understood that the four projects are currently being coordinated and advanced. In addition, the China-Vietnam Dongxing to Mong Cai temporary floating bridge for border trade has been completed and opened to traffic, and the Jingxi to Longbang Expressway has completed an annual investment of 518 million yuan, fulfilling 86.33% of the target task.
In terms of ordinary road network construction, the main works of 17 ordinary road network projects including Guilin to Yangshuo are planned to be completed; 12 have been completed so far, and the main works of the remaining projects are basically completed. In terms of project starts, 22 ordinary road network projects including Luzhai via Pingshan to Liucheng are planned to start; 18 have started, and the remaining projects have completed preliminary work and are planned to start soon.
In addition, in terms of project preliminary work, two expressway construction projects have made progress: the industry pre-review of the Nandan to Tian'e Xialao Expressway project has been completed, and the investment promotion work plan for the Tianlin to Xilin Expressway project has been compiled.
In terms of water transport, Guangxi will advance the preliminary work for the expansion and reconstruction projects of ship passage facilities under the "one main stream and seven tributaries" framework, and complete the compilation of feasibility study reports for the Zuijiang Shanyu Shiplock Expansion and Reconstruction Project and the Jinjitan Hub Second-Line Shiplock Project. Within the year, four projects including the Fangchenggang Yuman Port Area will be completed.
