Recently, the Yichun Branch of Postal Savings Bank of China successfully issued the province's first sponge city construction project loan of 265 million yuan. This project loan strongly supports the sponge city construction in Yichun's central urban area, providing financial guarantees for the coordinated development of urban construction and environmental resources. It will further accelerate the overall level of urban construction in Yichun and enhance the happiness index of urban residents.
“Watching the sea in the city,” “swimming to work,” “taking a boat to go out”—in recent years, during every rainy season, these casual jokes people make over tea and meals reveal their helplessness about urban waterlogging. To tackle this stubborn problem, the “sponge city” concept emerged. It is reported that sponge city projects are key livelihood projects launched by the state to effectively address urban waterlogging and drought, reduce urban runoff pollution loads, conserve water resources, and protect and improve the urban ecological environment.
Speaking of the project landing process, the head of the Corporate Business Department of the Yichun Branch of Postal Savings Bank of China explained: Since the Yichun sponge city construction project was established, the branch has actively seized the opportunity of sponge city construction in Yichun's central urban area. Based on its positioning of serving the government, the city, and people's livelihoods, it has actively strengthened communication and coordination with relevant government departments. A working team led personally by the branch president actively promoted the project's landing. Through regular engagement with government departments, difficulties encountered in advancing the project were resolved one by one; a new model of interbank cooperation was adopted, and this credit extension fully leveraged the funding advantages of Postal Savings Bank of China by introducing interbank guarantees, successfully achieving “bank-to-bank” cooperation; support from the approval department was vigorously sought, and the Credit Management Department opened a green review and approval channel, completing credit approval in just three days; dedicated guidance from the business department was obtained, enabling the smooth implementation of this loan business, which also benefited from comprehensive process guidance from the business department of the higher-level bank; and internal momentum for project landing was firmly grasped. The branch shared information through office and WeChat platforms, with the branch president, the vice president in charge, the general manager of the corporate department, and account managers dividing responsibilities and following up step by step with perseverance, ensuring the project's smooth landing.
Since the beginning of this year, the Yichun Branch of Postal Savings Bank of China has proactively engaged with local governments and enterprises, seized opportunities in major project construction such as sponge city development and shantytown renovation, intensified marketing efforts, and taken proactive action, successfully achieving a breakthrough in urban construction project loans. As of now, the branch's corporate credit scale has increased by 177.08% year-on-year.
