经过一年多的沟通筹备，柳工股份公司与五菱集团合作的薄板件项目最终达成共识。6月15日，双方在柳工股份公司签署了该项目的合作意向书。柳工集团公司董事长王晓华、股份公司总裁曾光安，五菱集团董事长孙少立、总裁韦宏文出席签字仪式并在合作意向书上签字。签约双方表示，将集各自的优势资源，加快项目的推进速度。
据了解，薄板件合作项目是合资双方各占50%的股权组建成立有限责任公司。柳工将提供工程机械、工业车辆薄板件的研发与设计，以及制造、销售和服务方面的优势资源；五菱集团将利用汽车零部件的集成优势，以及冲压、焊接、涂装方面所具有的轿车级别的制造工艺，为柳工提供包括装载机、挖掘机驾驶室、发动机罩、侧门罩、挡泥板、散热器总成等产品的配套。合资公司计划2015年年产驾驶室总成4万台，散热器总成1万台，以及10万套/件其它覆盖件。
