According to the Shaxian County Government Office, the Sanming North Station Forecourt and Underground Space Renovation Project is an important livelihood project for Shaxian County to build a smart city, solve travel difficulties, and improve urban quality. Since construction began in early September, the project builders have worked overtime and gone all out to advance the project construction, ensuring completion and delivery by the end of the year.

At the construction site of the Sanming North Station Forecourt and Underground Space Renovation Project, various large machines are operating in an orderly manner, and the project builders are excavating and replacing the existing road subgrade.

The Sanming North Station Forecourt and Underground Space Renovation Project has a total investment of 30 million yuan and covers an area of 137,000 square meters. It is being built between the northern part of the existing square and the road, incorporating Sanming K101 and K102 bus stops, Shaxian bus stops, and a taxi departure area, and readjusting the ground-level taxi stand and bus terminal; adding first-floor underground shops, two escalators and stairs from the second underground floor directly to the ground, and a covered corridor connecting to the underground shopping mall. The renovation will improve traffic conditions at Sanming North Station, create a new image of Sanming North Station as a transportation hub, gather and attract crowds, and create a vibrant commercial space.
