On September 15, the Baoding Lekai Avenue South Extension Project's rotating cable-stayed bridge, a key project of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei transportation integration that crosses 21 railway lines including the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, fully started construction. This is currently the world's largest rotating cable-stayed bridge, setting two world records: the largest rotation span and the heaviest rotation tonnage. The full start of construction of this bridge has also attracted continuous attention from CCTV.
The Lekai Avenue South Extension Project in the southwest of Baoding City has a total length of 11.93 kilometers and a total investment of about 3 billion yuan. The rotating bridge is designed as a double-tower single-cable-plane prestressed concrete cable-stayed bridge, with a main bridge length of 495 meters, a deck width of 39.7 meters, and eight lanes in both directions. It crosses 21 railway lines of the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway trunk line from north to south.
Song Puhe, chief engineer of the project from China Railway 18th Bureau Group, introduced that in order to minimize the impact on the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and urban traffic, the main bridge construction adopts the internationally leading parent-child tower double-rotation construction technology. Among them, the bridge on the child tower rotation side is 204 meters long and weighs 35,000 tons, while the bridge on the parent tower rotation side is 263.6 meters long and weighs 46,000 tons, setting a new record for bridges of the same type in the world.
After comprehensive comparison, the construction parties China Communications Construction and China Railway 18th Bureau Group adopted four Sany Intelligent rotary drilling rigs, namely SWDM28, SWDM36, SWDM42, and SWDM45, for pile foundation construction. Because the bridge piers have relatively high bearing capacity requirements for the pile foundation, the upper diameter of the pile foundation is 1.8 meters, the bottom hole needs to be reamed to a diameter of 3.8 meters, and the hole depth is 3.3 meters. There are two pile types: 60 meters and 95 meters. The hole-forming time of Sany Intelligent rotary drilling rigs: the SWDM28 machine takes 14 hours to form a 60-meter hole, and the SWDM45 machine takes 13 hours to form a 95-meter hole. Equipment division of labor: SWDM28, 36, and 45 machines are responsible for drilling and hole cleaning, and the SWDM42 machine is responsible for bottom reaming.
During on-site construction, Sany Intelligent rotary drilling rigs won unanimous praise from the construction parties China Communications Construction and China Railway 18th Bureau Group for their excellent performance and high reliability.
