Stepping out of the subway, you can take an elevator to visit the underground shopping mall—this lifestyle will become a reality at Silk Ribbon Park Station on the CBD section of the subway. Recently, reporters at the construction area of Silk Ribbon Park Station on the subway CBD section, undertaken by China Railway 16th Bureau, saw that the central station foundation pit had been excavated to a depth of five to six meters, and in about two weeks it will reach the required depth.
In September this year, reporters visited the foundation pit of the Shandong Guojin Center on the CBD construction site and found that a large foundation pit had already been excavated on its east side. Inquiring with the staff, they learned that this was the construction site of Subway Silk Ribbon Park Station, constructed by China Railway 16th Bureau. The foundation pit construction began last December, and earthwork and stonework are currently underway.
Recently, reporters visited Silk Ribbon Park Station again and found that the foundation pit had been excavated to a depth of five to six meters, and the slope support of the foundation pit had been successfully completed. "Another five to six meters need to be excavated to meet the requirements, which is expected to be completed in about two weeks," said a staff member.
It is reported that Jinan CBD is known as the "CBD on the subway." The subway CBD section involves the civil engineering works of the loop line and M1 line, totaling 4 stations and 4 intervals. Silk Ribbon Park Station is located in the central area of the CBD and functions as the subway's "central hub station." With a total construction area of over 40,000 square meters, it is currently the largest subway station in Jinan. The CBD underground public space covers an area of 260,000 square meters, mainly distributed beneath Silk Ribbon Park. The transfer station between the loop line and M1 line is located beneath Silk Ribbon Park. The loop line is a two-level underground island platform station running north-south through the CBD central axis, with stations from south to north being Lixia Square Station, Silk Ribbon Park Station, and Gongye South Road Station; the M1 line is a three-level underground island platform station running east-west through the CBD central axis, with stations from east to west being Silk Ribbon Park Station and Huayang Road Station.
In addition, the construction site has also publicized the key and difficult points of the subway project. The area surrounding the station is developed as underground space, which will adopt advanced international design concepts and seamlessly connect with the underground commercial area. Since each station is closely connected to the underground space, they need to be constructed simultaneously with joint planning and design, placing high demands on organization, coordination, and work interfaces. The four underground stations are all located within the core landscape axis of the CBD. Facilities such as station atriums, ventilation pavilions, and entrances/exits need to be fully integrated with the ground landscape. Moreover, the ground landscape of Silk Ribbon Park also includes a lake island located in the western section of the east-west central axis, thus imposing higher requirements on design and construction.
According to the construction schedule, the main structures of Silk Ribbon Park Station, Lixia Square Station, Gongye South Road Station, and Huayang Road Station will take 36 months, 25 months, 28 months, and 17 months to complete, respectively.
The previously released design plan for the CBD underground public space shows that the underground public space includes sunken plazas directly connecting to the underground, skylights for natural lighting, etc., striving to bring the underground space closer to the surface and introduce ground-level wind, light, water, and greenery underground; further down is the first underground floor, which serves as the subway station concourse and commercial floor; the second underground floor is an underground parking garage providing approximately over 1,500 parking spaces, which not only meets the parking needs of the underground space but also provides public parking services for surrounding plots during peak hours.
