Hebei Province, together with Beijing and Tianjin, has successively opened up 12 trunk highway “dead-end roads” and “bottleneck roads,” including the Beijing-Taipei, Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau, Beijing-Kunming, and Capital Region Ring Line highways. The interconnection of important trunk highway “connection roads” in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is accelerating. By 2020, the goal is to achieve “high-speed rail access to every city, expressway access to every county, an airport in every city, and port connections in every city,” forming a one-hour transportation circle in the core area of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and basically building a modern comprehensive transportation system that is fast, convenient, efficient, safe, high-capacity, low-cost, and low-carbon green.

2017 is the final year for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei transportation integration to achieve initial breakthroughs. Hebei Province is joining hands with Beijing and Tianjin to accelerate the building of “Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei on Rail,” jointly promote major highway projects, build a modern Tianjin-Hebei port cluster, and promote the coordinated development of civil aviation airports in the three regions.

By then, all important trunk “connection roads” between Hebei Province and Beijing and Tianjin will be completed, and the province's expressways will strive to exceed 9,000 kilometers, making the regional road network more complete; the province's port throughput capacity will reach 1.25 billion tons, accelerating the integration of the regional port cluster; the province's transport airports will reach 8, and general aviation airports will reach more than 30, accelerating the cultivation of important gateway airports and regional aviation hubs in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the coordinated development of the regional airport cluster.
