Recently, according to the Hebei Provincial Department of Transportation, the roadbed and bridge/culvert works of the Jingjiang Highway——one of the highways connecting Beijing and Hebei——have been fully completed, and about 95% of the pavement works have also been finished. It is expected to be completed and open to traffic this year.
The Jingjiang Highway is being built to Class II highway standards, with a total length of about 29.4 kilometers, and is located in Chicheng County. The route starts at Jiangjiabu Village, Longmensuo Town, in the county, connects with National Highway 112, and runs south to the Beijing-Hebei border, where it connects with Provincial Highway Luanchi Line (the highway from Luanping County to Chicheng County). Once the highway is completed and open to traffic, it will further strengthen the connections between villages and towns along the route and Beijing.
