I. Working principle of the hydraulic splitter:

The hydraulic splitter uses high-pressure hydraulic oil generated by a power station as its energy source. The oil is delivered through hoses to the cylinder tubes of each splitter (also known as a splitting gun or splitting machine), controlling the push and retraction of the piston rod inside the splitter. It cleverly applies the wedge principle to make the rock-splitting force reach several hundred tons or even over a thousand tons. Every object has its own characteristics: rock and concrete have extremely high external compressive strength but very low internal tensile strength, with a compressive-to-tensile strength ratio of 100:2–10, placing them in a brittle state. The splitter exploits the brittle characteristics of rock and concrete and uses the wedge block principle—releasing enormous splitting force outward within the narrowest hole. The high-pressure oil output by the pump station drives the cylinder to produce a huge thrust, driving the middle wedge block in the wedge assembly forward and spreading the reverse wedge blocks to both sides. Therefore, the splitter can easily split huge rocks in a few seconds, separating hard ore from the mountain body.
