On July 4, as the last T-girder was steadily lowered into place, the Xinwuxia Bridge in Section A6 of the Guangji Expressway project took the lead in achieving dual-carriageway breakthrough. This is the first major bridge on the Guangji Expressway to be fully connected on both carriageways.
Following the breakthrough of the left carriageway of the Xinwuxia Bridge on June 5, the Section A6 project department was greatly encouraged, worked hard to overcome difficulties such as continuous rainfall that was unfavorable to construction, carefully summarized construction experience, and made every effort to ensure construction safety, completing the right carriageway in just one month.
The Xinwuxia Bridge has a total length of 218 meters. Its superstructure uses prestressed concrete T-girders, simply supported first and then made structurally continuous, with a total of 65 T-girders (Guo Zhigang, Guang Jiliang, Li Qianyou).
