How to Drain Waste Oil from the Swing and Travel Systems of Rotary Drilling Rigs

If waste oil cannot be drained completely, then our entire oil change is meaningless, as it will seriously affect the subsequent use of our rotary drilling rigs. Therefore, we must take this issue seriously.

Disconnect the right rear oil pipe connector on the swing control valve, operate the swing handle to slowly rotate to the right, then insert the swing lock pin. When no old oil is discharged, clean the pipe connector and reconnect. Use the same method to drain the old oil from the automatic valve in the left swing pipe.

For the travel system oil drain, lift the left track on one side, ensuring the round surface of the drill bit contacts the ground. After the track is lifted, disconnect the front oil pipe connector on the left travel control valve, depress the left travel pedal to slowly move the left track forward until old oil is discharged from the pipe connector. Clean the pipe connector and reconnect the previously removed connector. Use the above method to drain the old oil from the right travel pipe.

The steps for changing hydraulic oil in small rotary drilling rigs are indeed somewhat complex, but this does not mean we need to change it every day or after every job. It has a long cycle. Relative to better using small rotary drilling rigs for construction in the future, this work is still very important. This requires us to do each step well during replacement, such as the issue of draining waste oil from the swing and travel systems we discussed today.
