On February 23, Lei Shengxiang, Chief Engineer of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, led a technological innovation research team to Changsha to investigate technological innovation at CRCHI and the Urban Construction Group. Liu Feixiang, Chairman and Party Secretary of CRCHI, attended the meeting, and Cheng Yongliang, General Manager and Deputy Party Secretary of CRCHI, reported on the company's technological innovation work.

 

This research activity was organized by China Railway Construction to implement the spirit of the National Science and Technology Innovation Conference and the SASAC Central Enterprise Science and Technology Innovation Work Conference, further clarify the core position of technological innovation in enterprise development, highlight the leading role of technological innovation, and make advance preparations for the planned Science and Technology Innovation Conference of the Corporation. The research covered three main areas: first, the major scientific and technological achievements of enterprises since the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan," scientific research mechanisms and systems, and national preferential science and technology policies enjoyed; second, the main problems existing in enterprises' science and technology work and countermeasures; and third, enterprises' opinions and suggestions on ten aspects of innovation-driven development.

At the meeting, Chairman Liu Feixiang first welcomed the research team on behalf of the two units. He then introduced CRCHI's overall development strategy, namely the "Two Types, Three Modernizations, Nine Capabilities" development strategy, with emphasis on "pioneering independent innovation capability" and "digital plus capability," which are closely related to technological innovation. He stressed that enterprise development has reached a turning point after ten years, that we face enormous challenges in the future, and that only by continuing to build core competitiveness and accelerating technological innovation can we continue to lead industry progress.

General Manager Cheng Yongliang reported to the research team on the group's development strategy, technological innovation achievements, innovation mechanisms, national policies enjoyed, problems existing in technological innovation development, and next steps in science and technology work.

Participants spoke freely, exchanging views and suggestions with the research team especially on talent, incentive mechanisms, assessment mechanisms, scientific and technological results, and resource integration.

Finally, Chief Engineer Lei Shengxiang fully affirmed CRCHI's technological innovation development achievements since the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" and its work in institutional and mechanism innovation. He said today's research was very successful, and that everyone's opinions and suggestions would be taken back, carefully considered, and used to sort out science and technology management mechanisms, clarify the direction of reform, effectively promote the advancement of China Railway Construction's technological innovation work, and welcome the second spring of technological innovation.
