The XCMG XR550D rotary drilling rig, the world's largest tonnage self-made chassis rotary drilling rig, rolled off the line at XCMG Foundation in August this year, once again setting a record for domestic self-made chassis rotary drilling rigs.
The birth of the XR550D rotary drilling rig not only means further improvement in product work efficiency but also reflects XCMG's strength as the number one in the piling industry. The XR550D rotary drilling rig has a maximum drilling diameter of 3.5m and a maximum drilling depth of 132m, and it achieved sales immediately upon rolling off the line. "Now customers are queuing up for the machines, and there are still orders for ten XR550D rotary drilling rigs in intense production," introduced Liu Wei, Director of the Drilling Rig Sales Department at XCMG Foundation.
In addition to continuously launching various "hit" products in the piling industry, XCMG Foundation's performance in the tunnel industry is also attracting industry attention. Under the product concepts of "market-oriented technology development" and "technology-oriented market development," XCMG Foundation took the lead in introducing roadheaders from the coal mining industry to non-coal fields and applied them in batches to tunnel construction and bauxite mines. Slurry balance pipe jacking machine continues to write a new chapter of innovation
As cities across the country promote the construction of urban underground comprehensive utility tunnels to fill the "shortcomings" of underground infrastructure, "underground utility tunnels" have become a buzzword of public concern. Urban underground comprehensive utility tunnels refer to public tunnels underground in cities used for centralized laying of municipal pipelines such as electricity, communications, radio and television, water supply, drainage, heating, and gas, like "urban blood vessels" rooted beneath the city.


XCMG Foundation keenly captured market demand. In recent years, targeting the urban drainage and sewage underground pipeline network engineering market, it integrated years of trenchless technology accumulation and pipe jacking technology to launch slurry balance pipe jacking machine products. The exhibited XCMG XDN500 slurry balance pipe jacking machine has the highest rock-breaking hardness in the industry, capable of breaking rock with hardness up to 300MPa. The modularly designed detachable cutter head offers advantages such as convenient transportation and small construction footprint; it only requires a φ2540mm starting shaft for construction, and the receiving shaft size is φ1650mm. The self-developed integrated reduction device has a maximum rotational torque of up to 15300N.m, and the cutter head maximum speed can reach 13.7r/min.

At the bauma exhibition site, XCMG Foundation used a unique on-site sand table to demonstrate to customers the construction techniques and effects of pipe jacking machines, tunnel boring machines, and diaphragm walls, leaving visiting customers full of praise.
