　　The boom in sponge city construction in China has created a huge market and still has broad room for development in the future. This has not only aroused great enthusiasm and attention in the academic and engineering circles of directly related disciplines such as water supply and drainage engineering and environmental engineering, but has also attracted widespread attention and active participation from related disciplines such as hydraulic engineering, landscape architecture, urban planning, and architecture. The sponge city construction being promoted in China today is both a relatively new concept and an "emerging" field, and in fact also contains much traditional professional content. It involves not only multiple branches of the water profession, but also multiple disciplines and multiple departments. Faced with such a complex systems engineering effort and rapid development, the professional field as a whole has shown insufficient research and technological reserves.
